I came across this pretty fragrance in Space NK. It is a very delicate fragrance and the bottle looks gorgeous on my dresser. The shades of citrus, rose and musk are calming and feminine.
I hate to brag, but I discovered this magnificent zesty, herby perfume on the Island of Capri (backpacking with an ex in 2002). The lemon, waterlilly and musk give it a confident but subtle mix and the scent lasts well. According to legend this intoxicating range was derived in a monastery on Capri. While the bottle is clumsy and packaging basic this is definitely my signature scent.
This is my most recent love, found in a duty free on a rough ferry crossing. It’s bold and sexy and my new favourite for power meetings.
Not for everyone, this is a very strong fig fragrance with a hint of grass for softness. It was ‘sold’ to me in every sense by a cool lady in a boutique in Southwold. I only wear it occasionally, but love having it in my cabinet for something a bit different.
I choose my perfume to suit my mood and what I am facing each day. I like to have at least 3 in rotation. It would seem that I’m drawn to citrus, floral and musk as a mix. These are my current favourites but Carthusia Via Camerelle has stood the test of time. I’d love to hear yours…
